Hahaa, sure, I’ll get working on building the broom right away. You know, I also heard stories of that dancing broom living a life of its own – floating up in the air! One time it apparently even went crazy and started stabbing people!

I liked Thailand a lot when I spent a month there in 2007. The yummy food is reason enough for me to return… But much of it is so touristy that I can see how not everyone would enjoy it. And to be fair, I LOVED Laos. So quiet and peaceful. So if I could only go back to one South East Asian country, Laos would definitely be it.

But yeah, it is never easy to admit you dislike a place that so many other people seem to love! I kind of feel that way about India… I have been to Delhi briefly on three occasions (for work), and I haven’t been swept off my feet. Taj Mahal was cool to see though. And with some many folks raving about India, I feel like I need to give it another shot by visiting other parts of the country before deciding whether it is for me or not.

I like this post because I feel disliking a place is the dirty little secret that no traveler wants to admit. I have to say, I felt the same way about Thailand, which I know many people love. But you’re right, sometimes you and the place you visit just don’t fit, but you make the best of it anyways .
